Formatting blocks offer enhanced layout flexibility by allowing two-column formatting, page breaks, and divider lines in your report.
Insert Two-Column Formatting #
In the “Report Body” tab, click the blue “+” sign to add a content Block.
Note: The blue “+” sign also works in the “Cover Page“and “End Page” tabs, if applicable.
Equal-Sized Columns #
From this Menu, select a Row 50/50 under the Layout Blocks and click “Close“.
Once the block has been created, a Placeholder for a new row with 2 equally-sized columns is shown.
Note: The initial placeholder size does not indicate the actual space the content will take up in the report. Use the Quick Preview button for an accurate representation of your report.
Add Content Blocks to each of the columns shown by clicking the blue “+” signs.
This Example shows an Image in the left block and text in the right block.
Unequal Columns #
There are also Block options to create a row with two unequal columns, by selecting either Row 40/60 or Row 60/40 and then “Close“.
Once the block has been created, a Placeholder for a new row with 2 unequal columns is shown.

Add Content Blocks to each of the columns by clicking the blue “+” signs.
Insert a Page Break #
Select a Page Break from the Block menu and click “Close” to insert a page break that will end content on one page and begin a new page of content.
Insert a Divider #
Select a Divider and click “Close” to add a divider line to your report.
Once the Block has been created, a Placeholder for the divider line is shown.
Divider Line Settings #
Click the blue Edit button to adjust the characteristics of the divider line, such as the Width, Height, Alignment, and Color.
Margins and Paddings #
Also configurable here are the Block Margins and Paddings. To learn more about Margins and Paddings, please see Block Spacing Settings.
Save Changes #
Click the “Save” button to save your work.
